Management Accountant at Virtuitis

Job Summary

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Management Accountant for this role. The post holder will be responsible for financial statements, accruals, analytical skills, finance, and accounting tasks to support the company's operations in Lagos. The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial management techniques that contribute to the overall financial stability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and present financial and non-financial data to assist in decision-making
• Develop and manage financial systems and policies
• Conduct reviews and evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities
• Oversee and prepare income statements
• Review and validate budget data from units, identifying inconsistencies
• Support working capital activities such as cash forecasting and debt optimization
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking exercises
• Prepare initial drafts of relevant periodic and ad hoc business performance reports
• Support analysis of operational results and make recommendations to management
• Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
• Provide advice on financial matters impacting the company as a whole
• Keep up to date with changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Conduct risk management activities
• Produce reports and recommendations following internal and external audits
• Prepare business reports and forecasts
• Ensure company compliance with all legal requirements regarding finance handling
• Conduct product pricing comparison exercises within the solar energy sector
• Provide monthly and quarterly cashflow and P&L statements to management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the departmental head

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of First Degree
• MBA or relevant professional certification
