Maintenance Technician at Valency Agro Nigeria Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Execute both planned and reactive maintenance and repair services for workshop machines and production equipment
• Provide periodic inspection services for all workshop machines and production equipment
• Perform major overhaul and maintenance of equipment to ensure continuous integrity of units
• Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for workshop machines (electrical and mechanical)
• Execute reactive maintenance and repair works for workshop machines and test units
• Recommend appropriate spare parts for repairs of workshop machines
• Provide support to maintenance technicians during investigation, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and proposals for corrective or preventive maintenance
• Execute fault diagnosis and recommendations for needed spare parts
• Perform physical inspection of spare parts upon supply and issue, and prior to commencement of work to ensure correctness and adequate condition
• Inspect and verify tools to confirm fitness for purpose and safety of use
• Prepare inspection and repair reports detailing equipment condition before and after maintenance, repairs performed, materials and spares used, required checks for re-commissioning, and proposals for future maintenance and additional spare parts as necessary

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions under pressure
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment with knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Report writing skills
