Machine Shop Manager at Human Capital Partners (HCP)

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks an experienced machining professional to lead and oversee machine shop operations in Nigeria and Ghana. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of machine shop operations while ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise machining, threading, fabrication, and repair operations across multiple locations
• Manage CNC and manual machining operations in line with API 5CT, API 7-1, API 7-2, and DS1 standards
• Plan and prioritize machining activities based on workload and machine availability
• Ensure precision, correct tooling selection, and adherence to engineering drawings
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing downtime, scrap, rework, and tooling consumption
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve non-conformances and maintain quality standards
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout operations
• Train, mentor, and develop machinists and technicians

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years' machining experience in an oil and gas machine shop
• Strong hands-on CNC and manual machining skills
• In-depth knowledge of API threading standards
• Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
• High attention to detail with a strong safety mindset
