Machine Operator / Machinist at Hobark International Limited (HIL)

About the Role

Hobark International Limited (HIL) in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking a skilled Machine Operator / Machinist to join our team. We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate tools, machine spears, and perform threading/rethreading of internal and external customer equipment to API specifications and standards
• Provide maintenance, refurbishment, and rethreading services for tools in the Jar Shop, CTR, and Fishing departments according to specifications
• Operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, and grinding machines
• Check machine setup to ensure proper tooling and adjustments
• Collect connection gauges, gauging procedures, specification notes, and inspection reports from the QAQC room
• Visually inspect gauges for damage and report any issues to QAQC personnel immediately
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices for equipment and material movement

Required Qualifications and Experience

• National Diploma (ND) minimum
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience
• Demonstrated technical competency in machining techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements
• Proficiency with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, and other machining operation accessories
