Loss Prevention Officer at Artee Group

Job Summary

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of store operations with particular focus on the back store (receiving and stockroom areas) and cash points. The role will proactively prevent theft, fraud, and operational errors, while enforcing compliance with established policies and procedures to minimize losses and shrinkage.

Key Responsibilities

Back Store, Receiving & Stockroom

• Monitor all goods-in processes to ensure deliveries are verified against invoices and discrepancies are reported immediately
• Supervise stock movement from receiving bays into the store, ensuring accurate documentation and prevention of unauthorized removals
• Ensure SOP compliance by store staff and vendor staff during receiving, storage, and stock replenishment
• Conduct bag checks and screening of staff and vendors exiting the stockroom or receiving areas
• Monitor for signs of collusion or fraudulent activity between receiving officers, vendors, and store employees
• Maintain CCTV surveillance of receiving and stockroom areas, promptly reviewing suspicious activities
• Report all security breaches immediately to the store CSO

General Duties

• Enforce access control in restricted areas
• Document and report all incidents of theft, fraud, or SOP violations
• Support internal investigations into losses at the back store or cash points
• Provide security awareness and loss prevention guidance to store staff
• Maintain an accurate loss prevention logbook and contribute to regular audit reviews

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Knowledge of retail operations, especially receiving and cashiering processes
• Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and electronic article surveillance (EAS)
• Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Ability to detect fraudulent patterns and apply analytical thinking
