## Title: Legal HR Officer
About the Role
Eko Maintenance Limited is seeking a Legal HR Officer to join our team in Lagos. This role combines legal expertise with human resources management, ensuring the company operates in full compliance with all statutory obligations while effectively managing employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and review contracts and provide legal advice accordingly
- Evaluate information to determine compliance with applicable standards
- Offer legal advice and support on issues that may affect the company
- Ensure compliance with all necessary statutory obligations
- Supervise and manage employee issues and disputes
- Draft official letters and maintain proper file documentation
- Handle company secretarial issues and administrative matters
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
- Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting comply with legal standards
- Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources and legal compliance
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law or Business Administration
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent)
