Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies to ensure the company obtains the best value from suppliers while supporting business goals such as cost savings, sustainability, and innovation
- Negotiate contracts, handle disputes, and build strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
- Supervise purchasing managers, buyers, and other procurement staff, ensuring the team meets performance targets
- Monitor spending, identify cost savings opportunities, and assist departments in staying within budget without compromising quality
- Ensure all purchasing complies with legal, ethical, and company standards, and identify supply chain risks before they become problems
- Support the company's sustainability and ESG goals through ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices
- Investigate new vendors, evaluate their products or services, negotiate pricing, and establish trustworthy relationships
