Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare commercial contracts in line with industry best practices
• Negotiate contract clauses to secure the company's legal and commercial advantage
• Provide expert legal guidance on regulatory, compliance, and operational matters related to the oil and gas sector
• Manage legal risks and advise management on potential exposures
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and partners as required
• Ensure all company activities comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations
• Handle litigation strategy and liaise with external counsel
• Mitigate risk and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• 7–10 years post-call experience with a strong background in the oil and gas industry
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and risk management
• Excellent understanding of oil and gas regulatory frameworks
• Litigation experience and dispute resolution capability
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound legal judgments
