About the Role

Uniterm Nigeria Limited is expanding its dynamic team and seeking talented junior engineers to support the design and development of new building construction and retrofits in the real estate sector.

Job Purpose

As a Junior Engineer, you will support the design and development process of new building construction and retrofits, working alongside experienced professionals to deliver quality engineering solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure
• Arrange and lead high-impact client meetings, presentations, and capability demonstrations
• Design facilities and structures using computer-aided design (CAD) and drawing tools
• Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labour to determine project feasibility
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and other topographical or geological data
• Conduct studies of traffic patterns and environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact
• Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental safety and governmental regulations
• Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects
• Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, and program modifications
• Support field activities of construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination
• Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all project-related information
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant engineering field
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
