Position Summary
We are seeking a Junior Associate, Natural Resource Governance, who will play a pivotal role in driving positive change towards the sustainable management of natural resources. Key Responsibilities
Policy Development (40%)
- Research, analyze, and stay abreast of national and international policies related to mining and natural resource governance
- Develop and propose policies that enhance transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the extraction and utilization of natural resources
Research and Analysis (20%)
- Conduct in-depth research on issues pertaining to natural resource governance, including legal frameworks, environmental impact, and socio-economic implications
- Generate data-driven insights and contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies for effective resource management
Advocacy (20%)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for policy reforms and best practices in natural resource governance
- Develop and implement advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and support for sustainable resource management
Training and Capacity Building (10%)
- Design and deliver training programs for various stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry professionals, to enhance their understanding of natural resource governance principles
- Build and strengthen the capacity of local communities to engage effectively in natural resource governance
