## Title: Inventory Officer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Supersaver Supermarket as an Inventory Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels in the system and on shelves to prevent overstocking or stockouts, and implement procedures to safeguard inventory
  • Maintain and update accurate records of all inventory, including details on quantity, cost, and product characteristics
  • Conduct regular physical stock checks and audits to compare against records, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Process purchase orders, manage deliveries, and ensure incoming stock is accurately recorded and stored
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases, negotiate prices, and manage relationships
  • Use software to track inventory, analyze sales data to forecast future needs, and generate reports for management on stock levels and issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
