## Title: Inventory Officer
Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring stock accuracy across all locations, and coordinating inventory control activities such as stock reconciliation, reporting, and documentation. The role ensures that all products are properly received, recorded, stored, and issued in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, record, and verify all incoming and outgoing stock
- Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement and retail teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Track product expiry dates, batch numbers, and damaged goods for proper documentation and disposal
- Prepare inventory reports and present data on stock status, shortages, or overages
- Monitor stock movements between branches or departments and ensure proper documentation
- Receive payments from customers for goods and services using cash, POS, or online transfer
- Issue receipts, invoices, and change to customers promptly and accurately
- Record all transactions in the POS system
- Maintain proper cash float and reconcile daily sales with physical cash at the end of each shift
- Report any cash shortages, overages, or system issues immediately to the supervisor
- Ensure all transactions comply with company financial and operational procedures
- Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers
