Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, therapeutic equipment, and non-perishable food and linens within our rehabilitation center. This role ensures patient care remains uninterrupted while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
You will oversee the complete lifecycle of clinical and non-clinical supplies, ensuring the continuous, safe, and cost-effective availability of all necessary resources to support patient recovery and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Inventory Control
- Oversee inventory levels for rehabilitation equipment (bands, weights, braces), medical consumables (wound care kits, gloves, syringes), and diagnostic supplies
- Ensure critical emergency medical stock and essential supplies are always available and compliant with regulatory standards
Receiving, Storage, and Distribution
- Accurately receive all incoming supplies and verify them against purchase orders for quantity, quality, and damage
- Ensure all items are stored correctly, meeting hygiene standards and manufacturer specifications, including temperature control for medications and sensitive supplies
- Manage timely and accurate distribution of supplies to therapy rooms, patient rooms, kitchen, and laundry areas
Audits, Reporting, and Compliance
- Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories to reconcile stock against the inventory management system
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, reporting losses or major variances immediately
- Track usage rates and identify opportunities for reducing waste and minimizing carrying costs
