## Title: Inventory & Accounts Officer
About the Role
A reputable organization in the interiors and furniture sector seeks a dedicated Inventory & Accounts Officer. Our client is a major player in the Nigerian economy with a first-class reputation for top-of-the-range products.
Key Responsibilities
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory levels
- Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Perform financial reporting including cash books, sales journals/registers, and bank reconciliation
- Ensure accuracy of inventory reports and lead physical inventory counts
- Diagnose causes of inventory variance
- Assist with internal audits
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree qualification
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in Sage software (basic to intermediate level)
- Knowledge of manual accounting entries, journals, asset registers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong numerical aptitude with ability to calculate large figures accurately (manually and using Excel) with minimal errors
- Inventory management expertise including:
- Routine physical stock taking
- Accurate inventory reporting
- Goods transfer and received records
- Inventory additions and deductions
- Waybilling procedures
