Internal Control and Audit Officer at Jamub Group

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Internal Control and Audit Officer to join our expanding team at Jamub Group. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the organization. You will conduct audits, analyse business processes, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position requires a thorough understanding of financial reporting, risk assessment, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify operational and financial risks and recommend risk-mitigating measures
• Identify gaps and recommend internal control measures, including appraising the adequacy of control systems
• Ensure protection of the organization's assets against fraud and theft
• Verify the accuracy of financial statements, reports, and accounting systems
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and procedures
• Investigate identified and reported cases, including following up to ensure timely resolution
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings in a timely manner
• Verify the validity and certainty of goal achievement
• Participate in the development and implementation of detailed audit plans
• Recommend or provide guidance on controls for effectiveness and efficiency of operations
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
• In-depth understanding of accounting and auditing standards
• Hands-on experience with relevant software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain objective view and confidentiality
• Commitment to ethical standards and high professional standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIA)
