## Title: Internal Audit Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to join our expanding team at Proforce Limited in Lagos. You will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization. This role involves conducting audits of financial, operational, and compliance activities to ensure efficiency, integrity, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on internal audit assignments
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems
- Review financial records, operational processes, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Identify gaps, weaknesses, or potential risks in systems and provide recommendations
- Prepare accurate, clear, and concise audit reports for management
- Monitor follow-up actions on audit recommendations
- Support external auditors by providing required documentation
- Conduct investigations on fraud, irregularities, or mismanagement when required
- Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
Education & Qualifications
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIA is an added advantage
Experience Required
- 2–4 years proven experience in auditing, internal control, or compliance
- Hands-on experience using accounting and audit software
- Knowledge of auditing standards and risk management practices
