## Title: Insurance Underwriting Executive

Summary

We are seeking a qualified, self-motivated team player with expertise in technical insurance operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate an aggressive drive to improve client service procedures and ensure optimal operating efficiency across all functions of the Underwriting and Claims Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate proposals and bids in line with best practices for clients across different industries
  • Conduct general underwriting and prepare broking and other technical documents for different classes of insurance
  • Prepare pre and post-renewal insurance registers for clients
  • Communicate value propositions through proposals and presentations
  • Manage key accounts
  • Ensure all technical operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Reconcile underwriting accounts with various clients and underwriters
  • Ensure prompt settlement of claims in the interest of clients
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual technical reports
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, policies, and regulations
  • Perform other insurance technical matters and general tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • BA, BSc, or HND degree
  • Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN)
  • Minimum 4 years' working experience in an insurance broking firm
  • Relevant technical knowledge and practical experience in underwriting and claims processes
