Illustrator (Mobile App - Gamified System) at Farm Innovation Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented illustrator to join our product development team for the development of a mobile application designed to guide smallholder farmers through farming activities with engaging prompts and visuals.

The illustrator will be responsible for producing high-quality, contextually relevant design elements that bring farming activities, guides, and user journeys to life in a visually engaging and culturally appropriate way. You will work closely with the product team to ensure that the illustrations are seamlessly integrated into the app's user experience and are in alignment with the app's objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Design & Development of Illustrations

• Create original illustrations, icons, and visual elements for various app screens and features
• Develop engaging, user-friendly illustrations that complement the product's design language
• Ensure all visual assets align with the brand's tone and identity

Collaboration & Integration

• Work with the Product Designer to ensure illustrations support product objectives and user engagement
• Coordinate with the Engineering team to deliver illustration assets in optimized formats for mobile platforms

Consistency & Quality Assurance

• Establish and maintain a consistent visual language and style guide for illustrations
• Ensure illustrations are culturally relevant, accessible, and intuitive for users
• Review and refine illustrations based on feedback from internal teams and pilot users

Asset Management

• Deliver illustrations in multiple formats (JSON, Vector, PNG, SVG, etc.) optimized for mobile
• Maintain an organized repository of illustration assets for future reuse and scalability

Requirements

• Proven experience as an illustrator with at least 3 years in the field, preferably in mobile app or gamified product environments
• Strong portfolio demonstrating illustration capabilities
