Job Summary
An established company is seeking an HVAC Technician responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the organization's facilities. The role ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably in compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
The technician must have strong technical and electrical knowledge, sound diagnostic abilities, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, ventilation systems, heaters, and refrigeration units
- Diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for installation and troubleshooting
- Test and repair electrical components such as motors, compressors, thermostats, circuit boards, relays, and contactors
- Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve equipment lifespan
- Monitor system performance, temperature control, and indoor air quality
- Maintain accurate documentation of service reports, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations and company safety policies
- Support energy-saving initiatives and recommend system upgrades for improved efficiency
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and facility teams to ensure seamless operations
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs and facility maintenance issues
- Provide technical guidance and support to facility staff
Requirements and Qualifications
- HND, Technical Certificate, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, components, controls, and electrical systems
