## Title: Human Resources Officer
About the Role
International Energy Insurance Plc is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support our HR operations and contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture. This role serves as a key point of contact for employee matters and assists in ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
- Ensure timely preparation and issuance of HR documents including employment letters, confirmation letters, queries, and memos
- Support HR audits, NAICOM inspections, and regulatory documentation
- Participate in HR strategy, change management, and culture transformation initiatives
- Prepare monthly HR reports including headcount, leave reports, disciplinary cases, and staffing data
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Address employee concerns professionally and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
- Provide support on employee welfare, engagement activities, and internal communication
- Promote a healthy, inclusive, and productive workplace culture
- Ensure adherence to company HR policies and regulatory requirements, including labour laws and NAICOM guidelines
- Assist in periodic review and update of HR policies and procedures
- Manage timely renewal and documentation of contracts for contract and temporary staff
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding for newly hired employees
- Support smooth offboarding processes including exit interviews and clearance
- Provide monthly HR input for payroll processing including new hires, exits, deductions, leave, and allowances
- Support administration of employee benefits such as HMO, pensions, staff medicals, and other allowances
- Support implementation of performance management systems and appraisal cycles
- Follow up with line managers on goal setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans
- Assist in identifying skill gaps and coordinating training programs
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and NAICOM regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational and record management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in HR databases and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism
