## Title: HSE Officer

About the Role

Well Fluid Services Limited is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join our Lagos operations. This role is central to maintaining our health, safety, and environmental standards across all work sites and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain registers for unsafe acts and unsafe conditions observations and daily reports
  • Deliver HSE induction programs for new employees and visitors, and present HSE information to employees and management
  • Plan and implement safe working practices, making necessary adjustments as needed
  • Organize workplace inspections and track closeout of identified gaps
  • Maintain Permit to Work (PTW) registers and other HSE logs, and conduct PTW audits
  • Stay current with local and international health and safety legislation
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, and make recommendations to prevent recurrence
  • Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analysis exercises, ensuring control measures are properly implemented
  • Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to reduce associated risks
  • Engage with regulatory authorities and contractors on HSE matters
  • Supervise contracted and in-house jobs to ensure safety compliance
  • Organize, attend, and record minutes from health and safety meetings
  • Coordinate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training programs
  • Enforce HSE procedures, policies, and standards across the plant and all work sites
  • Compile HSE statistics and reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage PPE inventory and distribution, and track issued equipment
  • Raise requisitions for HSE materials and services through SAP
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
