This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. Our client, a reputable secondary school in Lagos, is seeking an HR Administrator to join their team and support the school's human resources function.
Location
Omole Phase 2, Lagos, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement HR programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist with recruitment and selection processes for teaching and non-teaching staff, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, and coordinating interviews
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a professional and timely manner
- Implement performance management processes including goal setting, progress monitoring, and feedback provision; review and redesign processes where necessary
- Execute robust onboarding programs for new staff and continuous re-alignment/re-orientation programs for existing staff
- Assess training needs, recommend and develop training programs to ensure employees are equipped to meet management expectations
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR matters, ensuring fair treatment and protecting the institution from financial and legal liabilities
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records in hard copy and digital form
- Assist with staff counselling, disciplinary procedures, and hearings where necessary
- Manage payroll functions and ensure compliance with payment and remittance expectations in conjunction with the Finance department
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all HR data
- Promote staff welfare and sense of community through effective feedback mechanisms
- Administer staff welfare packages and benefits including health insurance and pensions
- Manage internal staff communications systems for effective information dissemination
