Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in batch quantities for large-scale food service operations
• Follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions with precision
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices
• Manage multiple cooking tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with dietary and medical staff to ensure proper meal preparation
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, institutional, or high-volume setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutritional guidelines for hospital settings
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot kitchen environment
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary training or certification
• Associate's degree or certificate in culinary arts or food service management
