Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer at Asphalt Unity Construction Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe workplace culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing effective HSE policies and procedures across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions
• Organize and deliver HSE training, awareness programs, and toolbox talks for employees
• Monitor waste management, environmental practices, and sustainability initiatives
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in an HSE role
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices
• Excellent communication, reporting, and training delivery skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
