Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to provide strategic leadership in underwriting and enterprise risk management. This role oversees risk assessment, pricing, utilisation review, policy development, and regulatory compliance to strengthen organisational sustainability.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Group Head, Legal/Corporate Services and Admin

Key Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting strategy, policy development, and pricing models
• Approve major quotations and manage underwriting decisions
• Analyse utilisation trends and identify high-risk cost drivers
• Develop risk-mitigation frameworks and coordinate enterprise-wide risk assessments
• Ensure regulatory compliance (NHIA) and guide product development from an actuarial standpoint
• Produce periodic risk and underwriting performance reports
• Supervise and develop the underwriting and risk management team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 7–10 years of underwriting/risk management experience with strong exposure to HMO operations
• Strong analytical, numerical, and leadership skills
• Professional certification (CIIN, ARM, etc.) is an advantage
