## Title: Head of Workshop

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Workshop with strong engineering background and extensive experience in heavy-duty equipment and trucks maintenance. You will lead our workshop operations in a mining company setting, with a proven track record of optimizing workshop performance, ensuring safety and reliability of our fleet, and managing a team of skilled technicians.

In this role, you will oversee quality repairs, predictive maintenance with AI integration, and preventive maintenance schedules, while managing performance appraisal of subordinates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the workshop, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and earth-moving equipment
  • Supervise and mentor workshop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and repair protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI and data scientists, to achieve preventive maintenance objectives
  • Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Liaise with logistics and operations teams to align maintenance activities with business needs
  • Maintain an organized and safe working environment
  • Perform regular diagnostics and repair of earth-moving machinery and equipment including trailers, bulldozers, excavators, and dumpers
  • Prepare and present reports on workshop performance, costs, and fleet condition

Required Experience and Skills

  • Hands-on experience with various earth-moving equipment and trucks including bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders, and other earth-moving equipment
  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment from major brands including CAT, Shantui, Howo, Sino Trucks, Sany, Liugong, SEM, and MAN Diesel
  • Proven ability to optimize workshop performance and fleet reliability
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
