Head of Technical Services at JUNAID Group

About the Role

JUNAID Group seeks a dedicated Head of Technical Services to lead a senior executive position responsible for overseeing the performance, integrity, and efficiency of all operational power generation assets. This role leads the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) functions, ensuring maximum plant availability, strict regulatory compliance, and the implementation of best-in-class asset management practices. The focus is on driving day-to-day operational excellence and long-term asset health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operations and maintenance teams across multiple power generation sites
• Develop and implement robust preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Ensure plant availability, reliability, and performance in line with industry benchmarks
• Oversee asset integrity, spare parts management, and technical procurement processes
• Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate technical audits, inspections, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Support expansion projects, upgrades, and technical feasibility assessments
• Provide strategic input to executive leadership on operational planning and capital investments
• Manage the O&M budget, control operational expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and energy efficiency improvements
• Represent the company in industry forums, technical committees, and stakeholder meetings

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
• 7–10 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance
• Minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role

Advantageous Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• COREN registration
• Certifications in HSE, PMP, or ISO standards
