Head of Medical Records Department

About the Role

Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking professional to lead the Medical Records Department. This critical position oversees a fully digitalized medical records system, ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient management of patient information in line with best practices, regulatory requirements, and the hospital's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical Records Department, comprising the Medical Records Unit, Hospital Reception, and Customer Support Unit
• Transform patient data into meaningful insights that support clinical decision-making
• Improve service delivery and identify emerging health and medical trends
• Enable the hospital to achieve its mission through effective data management
• Report directly to the Chief Information Management Officer (CIMO)
• Provide strong leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Foster effective collaboration across hospital departments

Required Qualifications

• Qualified Health Information Manager
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a structured healthcare institution
• Proven competence in digital health records management
