Head of Internal Audit at Jomav Homes

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Akure. As Head of Internal Audit, you will oversee the internal audit function and play a crucial role in maintaining the organization's operational integrity and financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all internal audit activities
• Assess financial risks and evaluate risk management processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Review financial statements and audit findings
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure adherence to best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)
• Proven expertise in analytical skills, internal controls, and problem-solving
• Strong knowledge of Financial Risk Management and Finance
• In-depth understanding of Accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with industry audit standards and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as ACA, CIA, or ACCA
• Experience in internal auditing within real estate, financial services, or audit firms
• Current residence in Akure or willingness to relocate
