Job Summary

The Head of Finance will oversee all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance to management, support business growth, and maintain the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance and accounting department, ensuring effective financial control and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with business goals
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and liquidity planning
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making
• Manage tax planning, filing, and compliance with FIRS and state tax authorities
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Supervise payroll, cost accounting, and expense management processes
• Implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Support business development and investment decisions through feasibility and ROI analyses
• Lead and mentor finance team members to ensure continuous professional growth and efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA
• Minimum of 7-10 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
• Proven experience in the automobile, manufacturing, or trading industry is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP)
