About the Role

The Head of Finance & Accounts plays a crucial role in ensuring sound financial management across the organization's regional offices and service delivery channels. This position is responsible for maintaining organizational accounts, new business budgeting, financial reporting, managing commercial operations, and liaising with internal and external auditors.

The Head of Finance & Accounts coordinates closely with all other departments to ensure compliance with financial procedures and policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, donor compliance expertise, and the ability to multitask effectively. Success in this position demands ethical conduct, resilience, and proactive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Management

• Advise the Finance Director, Senior Management Team, and country management team on financial strategy, risk, and commercial investment decisions
• Lead business planning, financial planning, project budgeting, and forecasting aligned with organizational strategy and annual business plan development
• Identify and support strategic initiatives that promote growth and financial sustainability through new business models, efficiency improvements, and partnerships across both private and public sectors
• Provide strategic input to expand social business operations, including innovative approaches to financing health services
• Advise on opportunities that enhance organizational impact and cost-effectiveness

Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Produce high-quality financial analysis of center operations and social marketing initiatives
• Prepare daily analysis reports of both primary and secondary sales
• Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports and management accounts

Operational Management

• Conduct supportive supervision visits across regional offices
• Contribute to financial reports and data analysis for informed decision-making
• Manage payroll processes
• Support the Finance Director in achieving financial goals and maintaining financial and non-financial data integrity
