Head, Internal Audit and Compliance

Position Overview

The Head of Internal Audit and Compliance is responsible for conceptualizing, identifying, and improving the company's operations through systematic and disciplined processes that adopt effective risk management, control, and governance practices while eliminating all forms of waste and loss in the business. This role also oversees and manages all regulatory compliance activities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and control the full audit cycle, including risk management and control management over operational effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
• Determine internal audit and compliance scope for the business
• Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures across the organization
• Manage internal audit and compliance activities; coordinate specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the Audit Plan
• Monitor compliance, prepare and present audit findings and recommendations, and provide assurance of compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare a risk-based audit plan and resource estimate that are consistent with organizational goals at least annually
• Manage, plan, organize, and execute approved assurance and compliance engagements
• Implement assurance and compliance methods for the adequacy of management systems for controlling risk management, administration, budgetary and financial management, and information technology governance and operations
• Report results of engagements and provide periodic official reports at least quarterly to the Board concerning the Internal Audit programme and activities
• Develop and implement adequate internal control systems for the Company
• Maintain a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of the workplace safety programme, values, and ethics
