About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Grants Specialist to join our team at Rural Watch Africa Initiative (RUWAI). This is a remote contract position focused on securing funding opportunities and managing grant-related activities to support our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
• Write compelling grant proposals and applications
• Develop detailed budgets and financial projections for grant submissions
• Analyze financial data and track funding performance
• Manage fundraising and partnership development activities
• Maintain effective communication with donors and stakeholders
• Ensure ongoing success and compliance of funded initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Sustainable Development, Environment, or related field
• Strong proposal writing and research skills
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in grant management
