GBV Case Manager (Consultant) at ActionAid Nigeria

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified GBV Case Manager to coordinate, manage, and supervise the direct implementation of community-based Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and Women & Girls Safe Spaces activities. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership to a team of GBV Case Workers and GBV Champions, ensuring awareness-raising activities are conducted at the community level with appropriate messaging on GBV prevention and response.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and supervise direct implementation of community-based GBV prevention and Women & Girls Safe Spaces activities
• Provide overall leadership to a team of GBV Case Workers and GBV Champions
• Conduct and oversee awareness-raising activities at the community level
• Ensure key messages on GBV prevention and response are shared appropriately
• Provide training and workshops on gender, GBV, and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) topics in various settings
• Manage case files and databases with regular documentation
• Mentor and build capacity of staff members

Required Qualifications

• First degree in Social Sciences, Arts, Health, or related fields

Required Experience

• At least three (3) years' experience implementing child protection or Gender-Based Violence programs in humanitarian or development settings
• Background in social work or case management
• Proven experience supervising and managing teams in cross-cultural settings, particularly Case Workers
• Experience working with case files and databases with regular documentation
• Demonstrated record of providing training and workshops on gender, GBV, and SRH topics in various settings

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in international development organizations
• Background in emergency preparedness and response
