Role Overview

The Further Maths Teacher delivers educational instruction to secondary school students. You will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Further Mathematics to secondary school students
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs
• Use varied teaching methods and resources to explain concepts clearly and maintain student interest
• Design and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student progress and understanding
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote improvement
• Maintain discipline and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student behavior
• Identify students needing extra help and provide additional assistance or recommend resources
• Act as a mentor and guide to students, encouraging their academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to enhance the educational experience
• Keep open communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior
• Participate in workshops, training, and staff meetings to stay updated with teaching strategies and subject knowledge
• Engage in school events, extracurricular programs, committees, and activities that contribute to the school community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (e.g., Mathematics)
