Furniture Carpenter / Cabinet Maker

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to construct, assemble, and install furniture and cabinetry for institutional and production needs. The ideal candidate must have strong craftsmanship skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and assemble furniture such as cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes, and fittings
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials
• Interpret drawings, sketches, and design specifications
• Install finished furniture and fittings on-site when required
• Operate woodworking machines and hand tools safely
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of existing furniture
• Ensure quality finishing and durability of products
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of FSLC / SSCE
• 0–5 years of experience as a carpenter or cabinet maker
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret basic design drawings
• Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery
• Attention to detail and high-quality finishing
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
