## Title: Front Desk Officer / Cashier
About the Role
We are seeking a professional Front Desk Officer/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries. You will also handle all payment transactions, including cash, credit, and checks, while issuing receipts and accurately balancing the till at the end of each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer and direct calls, resolve complaints, and provide information to customers
- Cash Handling: Process transactions using a cash register or Point-of-Sale (POS) system, accept various payment methods, provide change, and issue receipts
- Till Reconciliation: Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep the checkout area and overall work environment clean, tidy, and organized
- Administrative Support: Perform general office duties such as distributing mail, logging incoming checks, and assisting with other departments as needed
Essential Skills and Requirements
- Customer Service: Friendly, welcoming demeanor with the ability to resolve customer issues effectively
- Cash Handling & Math: Ability to accurately count money and handle various payment forms
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate transaction recording and till balancing
