Forklift Operator at DRYVA Logistics

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our logistics team as a Forklift Operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to load and unload inbound and outbound trucks and containers (20ft/40ft)
• Operate other material handling equipment as needed
• Execute put-away, replenishment, staging, and dispatch loading as instructed using WMS, scanner, or sheets
• Stack and unstack pallets accurately (floor stacking or racking where applicable) while preventing product damage
• Support receiving operations by confirming goods against waybills and packing lists; report shortages, damages, and mislabels immediately
• Stage outbound shipments by customer and route, supporting correct loading sequences
• Perform daily pre-use equipment checks including brakes, horn, lights, forks, hydraulics, tires, battery/fuel, and leaks; report faults and stop unsafe equipment from use
• Follow all safety protocols including speed limits, pedestrian right-of-way, load limits, seatbelt use, and safe turning and reversing procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards (5S); keep aisles, bays, and staging areas clean and obstruction-free
• Participate in cycle counts and stock checks by moving items for counting and ensuring correct location placement
• Identify workplace safety hazards and adhere to safety management standards
• Clean work areas and equipment regularly, including removal of empty pallets
• Maintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance
• Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately
• Transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Optimize loads and warehouse layout to ensure operational efficiency
• Secure loads to machine before transportation
• Inspect forklifts for damages
• Schedule forklift maintenance and repairs
• Complete other assigned tasks as directed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, SSCE, or OND
• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Valid forklift certification or license
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Proficiency in operating technical machinery
