Fine Art Teacher

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Location: Jalingo, Taraba Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: - Curriculum & Instruction: Plan and teach engaging lessons in diverse art forms (painting, drawing, sculpture) and art history, demonstrating techniques and encouraging creativity. - Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized studio/classroom, manage materials and equipment, and ensure safe use of tools. - Assessment: Evaluate student projects, provide constructive feedback, grade assignments, and maintain accurate progress records. - Exhibitions & Events: Organize and present student artwork in displays, exhibitions, and school events to showcase achievements. - Collaboration: Work with other teachers and administrators on cross-curricular projects and parent-teacher meetings. - Supply Management: Monitor inventory, purchase art materials, and prepare the classroom for lessons. Essential Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fine Arts or Art Education. - State teaching certification. - Proficiency in various art mediums (pencils, paints, clay) and digital art tools. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and creative skills. - Experience with extracurricular art programs (e.g., art club).
