## Title: Financial Planning Assistant Manager

About the Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within our finance function. You will support financial planning initiatives across the organization while developing your expertise in financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts across business units
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting to management and stakeholders
  • Support business units in financial planning, target setting, and performance tracking
  • Work with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions and ensure data accuracy
  • Monitor key financial indicators and assist with the preparation of management dashboards
  • Participate in business case development and investment appraisals
  • Ensure financial plans align with corporate objectives and market realities
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required data and analysis
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Required Education and Professional Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional Certification in Accounting (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA, CFA or similar)

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, or analysis
  • Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial transaction processing and reporting
  • Demonstrable experience in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Experience processing high volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector or similar fast-paced industry (advantageous)

Required Competencies

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Solid knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and reporting standards
