## Title: Financial Accountant
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconciliations
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Monitor variances between actual results and budgeted performance
- Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue growth
Tax & Regulatory Management
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls
- Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations
Team Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with other finance team members to ensure efficiency
- Provide financial insights to support management decisions
- Train and mentor junior staff where required
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
