Financial Accountant at Dalchifit Hotel

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)

General Ledger Management

• Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts
• Post journal entries and ensure accurate classification of transactions

Budgeting & Forecasting Support

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor budget variances and prepare variance analysis reports

Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

• Ensure invoices, payments, and receipts are accurately recorded
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts

Bank & Cash Reconciliation

• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly bank reconciliation statements
• Track cash flow and ensure proper cash management

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory filings
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other tax returns (country-specific)

Internal Controls & Audit Support

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations

Asset & Inventory Accounting

• Maintain and update fixed asset registers
• Monitor depreciation, impairment, and disposal of assets

Financial Analysis

• Perform financial analysis to support management decision-making
• Prepare profitability reports, cost analysis, and trend reports
