Finance Manager at Spok Capital Limited

Position Overview

This is a management position reporting directly to the MD/CEO. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the firm's liquidity risk, cash flow, balance sheet, profit and loss, assets and liability management, business performance reports, financial risk management, financial control, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial record keeping and administration in accordance with the firm's financial procedures, controls, and accounting standards
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the MD/CEO detailing income, expenditure, and budget variances; provide additional information as needed
• Track petty cash, maintain appropriate records, perform reconciliations, and provide timely accountability
• Maintain bank records, perform bank reconciliations, and manage all banking operations and relationships
• Prepare statutory reports for regulators
• Coordinate with external auditors to prepare annual audited accounts
• Handle regulatory tasks including VAT returns, management of payee and pension deductions
• Prepare the firm's annual business budgets aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Develop and coordinate budgetary control procedures to ensure compliance and address budget holder enquiries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual returns and reports to regulatory agencies including SEC, NDIC, CAC, LIRS, and FIRS
• Maintain records to meet regulatory and tax requirements and ensure ongoing compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
