About the Role
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations, maintain accurate financial records, analyse financial performance, evaluate capital allocation decisions, and support strategic planning. This individual will ensure the company's financial health, compliance, and optimisation of resources while providing clear insights to leadership.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Accounting
- Maintain and manage accurate and up-to-date company financial records
- Oversee bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and monthly/quarterly/year-end closing
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions
- Implement internal controls and improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Develop variance analysis reports and highlight trends, risks, and opportunities
- Produce management reports for executive reviews and board-level discussions
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Track budget performance and provide insights on cost control and optimisation
- Build financial models to support planning and resource allocation
Capital Allocation & Investment Analysis
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and ROI, NPV, and payback analysis
- Monitor existing investments and capital projects for performance and value creation
- Provide recommendations on cost-saving opportunities and financial efficiency
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow planning and ensure funds availability for operational needs
- Oversee payables, receivables, and banking relationships
