## Title: Finance Manager

About the Role

Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This role involves managing all aspects of financial operations, accounting procedures, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Manage outsourced functions
  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that all reasonable discounts are captured
  • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
  • Complete periodic bank reconciliations
  • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and manage the general ledger for accuracy
  • Oversee management of tax obligations including VAT, WHT, and PAYE; liaise with the company's tax consultant, auditor, and regulators for efficient tax management
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for management and regulators
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
  • Recommend benchmarks to measure the performance of company operations
  • Monitor and measure financial performance within the company
  • Oversee the collation and recording of performance information and provide assurance that these are recorded appropriately
  • Champion continuous finance process improvement within the company
  • Provide regulatory reports to the compliance department
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Finance
  • Experience working in an Asset Management firm
  • Professional certifications (CFA, ACA, ACCA) are an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel
