## Title: Finance Assistant

About the Role

Fort Knox Group is seeking a qualified Finance Assistant to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our financial operations and supporting the organization's financial health and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the Profit & Loss account, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statements
  • Manage daily financial operations, including payments, receipts, and reconciliations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and proper documentation of all financial transactions
  • Monitor cashflow and advise management on financial risks and opportunities
  • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure full compliance with audit requirements
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations (FIRS, PAYE, VAT, WHT)
  • Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making
  • Support procurement and expenditure control processes to ensure value for money

Required Qualifications

  • HND or B.Sc. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in a finance officer role or similar position

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial analysis capability
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent cashflow management skills
  • Strong financial reporting and reconciliation abilities
  • Good understanding of tax laws and statutory compliance requirements
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (added advantage)
