About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee the Finance & Funding Department (FFD), the financial backbone of the organisation. You will be tasked with ensuring sustainability, transparency, and growth while leading a critical transition away from founder-dependent funding toward a diversified revenue ecosystem combining grants, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and earned income. Key Responsibilities
- Establish a robust financial management and resource mobilisation system that guarantees financial transparency and compliance with donors and regulatory standards
- Proactively engage government agencies including NITDA, framing communications as partnership proposals
- Build a diverse funding portfolio to support the organisation's programmes
- Develop a strategy to collaborate with diaspora engagement platforms, connecting the organisation with Nigerian professionals abroad for mentorship and remote support
- Introduce earned-income streams to gradually reduce dependency on external donors
- Oversee budgeting, donor reporting, and audit preparation
- Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy
- Build partnerships with local and international funding agencies
- Supervise accounting and procurement processes
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in NGO or social enterprise finance
- Strong proposal writing and grant management skills
