About the Role
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient, and dynamic professional to serve as Finance Adviser for Internal Controls in Nigeria. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure country operations adhere to the Financial Handbook, NRC policies, and donor and auditor requirements
- Maintain overall compliance with national and NRC policies and procedures
- Provide staff training on anti-corruption policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Deliver regular compliance analysis and reports
- Implement and monitor anti-corruption policies
- Conduct and follow up on spot checks to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, and documentation across various departments
- Promote the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees in line with advocacy strategy
- Manage and coordinate all donor financial audits as the focal point for the NRC Nigeria office
- Identify, assess, and control financial risks effectively
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Auditor or Compliance Manager in a humanitarian or recovery context
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies, or Economics (Essential)
- Membership with a professional accounting body such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIMA (Asset)
