Field Support Technician at IpNX Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

This role is responsible for carrying out planned and contingency operations and maintenance (O&M) services in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify the root cause of customer issues and advise on the best course of action to resolve them
• Identify resources needed to solve issues and estimate the effort required
• Collaborate with other internal functions to ensure availability of resources and keep customers updated on intervention efforts and relevant timelines
• Implement technical solutions at customer sites while ensuring quality work and customer satisfaction
• Implement technical solutions at Point of Presence sites in compliance with approved policies, procedures, and work standards
• Implement disaster recovery plans as needed
• Implement proactive maintenance and set up system monitoring to reduce equipment failure and incident response time
• Maintain engineering equipment
• Diagnose network and device problems and implement technical or procedural solutions
• Perform Quality Control on structured cabling and related projects on all sites and facilities
• Perform inventory of equipment and consumables on all sites, ensuring availability and timely repair or return
• Maintain accurate records of system and equipment conditions and inspections across all locations
• Prepare regular reports on Point of Presence conditions, inspections, and work orders as necessary

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical discipline
• 3 years of relevant experience in the IT/Telecommunications field
