Main Functions
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement daily work objectives with focus on housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards
- Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings with documented attendance
- Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operational conditions
- Function as Equipment Care Technician, performing routine maintenance activities and equipment care
- Report immediately when alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service
- Provide detailed, clear, and accurate handover information during shift changes to ensure unit conditions are updated and operations continuity is maintained
- Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance planning
- Record continuously in the logbook all relevant operational events, abnormal situations, and deviations in the work area, equipment, or personnel
- Take product samples for laboratory analysis and execute field laboratory tests
- Actively participate in emergency response activities
- Report incidents internally and escalate awareness according to Incident Reporting Guidelines
- Ensure the Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted about all operational activities
- Maintain good communication across the work team to ensure issues and actions are adequately addressed
- Provide accurate information concerning well production problems, current production rates, and well condition
- Ensure thorough and complete well problem diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention operations
